Dyana Williams

Dyana Williams is an influential figure in African American music and media, with a career spanning over 50 years. Her impact has been recognized through numerous awards and honors, including acknowledgments from Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter and listings in prestigious rankings like News One's "Top 20 Black Radio Jockeys of All Time" and RadioFacts.com's "Top 30 Black Women in Media."

Starting her radio career in New York City, Williams honed her craft as a DJ before making her mark in Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia. Known for her distinctive voice and deep knowledge of music, she became a respected figure in broadcasting, hosting shows and serving as a program director at various stations.

Beyond radio, Williams has contributed to television networks like BET and VH1, conducting interviews and serving as a music consultant. She's also been involved in producing documentaries and specials highlighting the contributions of African American musicians.
