Field reportedly became a billionaire about a decade after founding Figma: In September 2022 Adobe acquired the company for $20 billion—bolstering his net worth beyond $2 billion in one of the year’s largest mergers. Figma became a cult favorite among product teams for its collaboration-forward features, allowing users to virtually whiteboard, iterate, and test within the web-based platform. The plan is for Figma to remain independent within Adobe, and the effect of this on users remains unknown.
