Dylan Marron is an IFP Gotham Award & Drama Desk-nominated writer, performer, and video maker. He is the voice of Carlos on the hit podcast "Welcome to Night Vale", an alum of the New York Neo Futurists, and the creator of "Every Single Word" (Tumblr's "Most Viral Blog" of 2015; Shorty Award Nominee), a video series that edits down popular films to only feature the words spoken by people of color.
Marron has expanded his creative repertoire as a writer for the acclaimed series "Ted Lasso". Additionally, he created, hosted, and produced various series at Seriously.tv, including "Sitting in Bathrooms with Trans People", "Shutting Down Bullsh*t", and the "Unboxing" series. His podcast, "Conversations with People Who Hate Me", where he engages with individuals behind negative internet comments, has received widespread recognition, including a Webby Award and being named "the timeliest podcast" by FastCompany.
Recently, Marron delivered a TED Talk titled "Empathy is Not Endorsement", reinforcing his key message on empathy and social understanding. He is currently working on a new book, "Snowflake", which delves into empathy on the internet, difficult conversations, and wielding softness as strength. The book is set to be published by Atria Books.
