Ed Gillespie

Ed R Gillespie is a futurist specializing in corporate sustainable development, known for his ability to simplify complex issues such as climate change and disruptive competition for non-specialist audiences. He frequently works with C-suite executives to explore the role of big business in self-disruption and innovation and has authored the book "Only Planet - a flight-free adventure around the world." Gillespie is a keynote speaker with his speech titled "Fixing the Future," focusing on sustainable practices and future-oriented strategies.

Before his current engagements, Gillespie served as Senior Executive Vice President for External and Legislative Affairs at AT&T, directing large-scale efforts to close the digital divide and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. His earlier roles include being the chairman of Sard Verbinnen & Co.’s public affairs group, a top aide on Capitol Hill, Counselor to the President for President George W. Bush in his second term, and chairing the Republican National Committee in 2003-2004.
