Edgerrin James

For all the records that Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning has set, few of them would have been possible without Edgerrin James in the backfield. As the longtime running back for the Colts, “The Edge” helped set up Manning’s passing game and on the ground he led the NFL in rushing in both 1999 and 2000. Born in Florida, where as a member of the Miami Hurricanes he broke numerous school records, James was the fourth overall pick in the first round of the 1999 NFL Draft. He won the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award that year and made four trips to the NFL Pro Bowl as a member of the Colts. In 2006, he was traded to the Arizona Cardinals and he is currently the leading active rusher in the NFL with more than 11,000 yards.

Besides football, a possible Edgerrin James speaker topic is his love of car racing. With quarterback Matt Leinart, James owns a go-kart track in the Phoenix area and he is a big NASCAR fan.
