Egypt Sherrod

"Tough love with a hug," is what fans have come to affectionately expect from home space expert, Egypt Sherrod. She is best known as host and co-executive producer of HGTV’s “Flipping Virgins” and its long-running show, “Property Virgins.” The accomplished Sherrod has also hosted HGTV’s "White House Christmas Special," the "Rose Parade," and the HGTV "Urban Oasis Giveaways."

A versatile speaker and certified life coach, Sherrod has graced the stage at Essence Magazine’s Wellness Festival, Oprah’s “The Life You Want Tour,” and numerous empowerment, wellness, and business conferences. Her openness and sense of humor about her own life journey have resonated deeply with audiences. Additionally, Sherrod has made notable appearances facilitating discussions at reunion specials for OWN’s shows including "Love & Marriage Huntsville," "Put A Ring On It," and "The Haves and The Have Nots."

Sherrod, alongside her husband Mike Jackson, has expanded her television presence with the HGTV’s Critic’s Choice Awards-nominated show “Married To Real Estate,” where they guide couples through the complexities of buying and renovating homes. They also triumphed in Season 3 of HGTV’s "Rock The Block," showcasing their dynamic partnership and expertise in real estate and design.

The multi-media maven boasts a 20-year award-winning radio broadcast career, which includes interviewing luminaries like Oprah Winfrey, Prince, Leonardo DiCaprio, Martin Scorsese, and the late James Brown, among others. By the age of 30, she had been syndicated in more than 60 cities across the USA, winning over audiences with her honest and magnetic delivery. Her work has earned her an NAACP Image award nomination, WEEN Mission Award, and Black Women In Media’s “Pioneer Award,” among other accolades.

Sherrod is a devoted mother to three children, Harper, Kendall, and bonus daughter Simone with her husband of 11 years, Mike Jackson. She describes motherhood as her greatest achievement, cherishing the experiences and lessons it brings. The Temple University graduate is not only an award-winning Real Estate Broker & CEO of the Atlanta-based Egypt Sherrod Real Estate Group but also a noted author.
