Elad Gil

Elad Gil is a technology entrepreneur, start-up investor and advisor to companies such as Airbnb, Coinbase, Checkr, Gusto, Instacart, OpenDoor, Pinterest, Square, Stripe, Wish, and others. He is also the co-founder of Color Health, and co-founder and CEO of Mixer Labs.

Previously, Gil was the Vice President of Corporate Strategy at Twitter, where he also ran various product (Geo, Search) and other operational teams, scaling the company from 90 to 1500 employees. He joined Twitter via the acquisition of Mixer Labs. Mixer Labs ran GeoAPI, one of the early developer-centric platform infrastructure products.

Gil spent many years at Google, where he started the mobile team and worked on AdSense. He was involved with three acquisitions (including the Android team) and was the original Product Manager for Google Mobile Maps and other key mobile products. Prior to Google, Gil had product management and market-seeding roles at a number of Silicon Valley companies. He also worked at McKinsey & Co.

Gil received his Ph.D. in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and both a BA in Mathematics and a BS in Molecular Biology from the University of California, San Diego. While at MIT, he got involved with its $100K Entrepreneurship Competition and concluded that he could have more of an impact on the world working in start-ups than as an academic.
