Elaine Weiss is an award-winning journalist and critically acclaimed author recognized for her expertise on women's history, voting rights, and civic engagement. A MacDowell Colony Fellow and Pushcart Prize “Editor’s Choice” honoree, Weiss authored "The Woman’s Hour: The Great Fight to Win the Vote," which has been hailed as an essential account of the women’s suffrage movement in America. This book not only received a GoodReads Readers’ Choice Award and was short-listed for the 2019 Chautauqua Prize but also won the American Bar Association’s 2019 Silver Gavel Award.
