Elizabeth A. Douglas, Esq. is an award-winning family law and divorce attorney who is taking the legal world by storm with her innovative and educational approach to challenging and high-profile family law, surrogacy, fertility, and divorce cases. Douglas aims to use her experience to speak on family law, divorce, surrogacy, and fertility issues that may still be viewed as sensitive or taboo. Her goal is to educate people about their rights and to share as much factual and evidence-based information as possible. This is to allow individuals the opportunity to make the right decisions to live their best lives possible when dealing with challenging cases related to divorce, separation agreements, family law (child custody, visitation, support, & adoption), pre-nuptial & post-nuptial agreements, and co-habitation agreements. Douglas is also a certified mediator and has been selected to the Rising Stars list in 2014, 2015, and 2016 as well as to the Super Lawyers list in 2019, 2020, and 2021.

She serves on the Executive Committee of the New York State Bar Association’s family law section, and is a co-chair of the surrogacy, family court, domestic violence, and diversity committees. She is also a member of the American Bar Association’s family law section, Westchester County Bar Association, New York County Lawyers Association, Fairfield County Bar Association, Connecticut Bar Association, and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. Douglas, a native New Yorker, is a car enthusiast with a particular passion for AMG engines, and Formula One racing.

She has a deep appreciation for culture, travel, elegant global cuisine, art, and luxurious experiences. When she is not speaking at events or working with clients, she enjoys rock climbing, cycling, hiking, and other adventure sports. Douglas is the Founding Partner of Douglas Family Law Group, PLLC. She graduated cum laude from the University of Miami and went on to earn her Juris Doctorate at Pace Law School.
