Between 1997 and 2000, Rubin oversaw fashion programming for E! Entertainment Television. She brought high profile on-air talent and lifestyle experts to the network and created strategic alliances with national brands in the fashion and beauty industries. Rubin was also integral in the development of E!'s signature programming including: Fashion Police, Celebrity Beauty Secrets Revealed, The Magic of Milan, Paris Couture Fashion Week, and the fashion news segment, "TrendE!" for E! News Live.
Rubin is credited for initiating and securing the deal with Victoria's Secret for the first ever Victoria's Secret television special. She has worked closely with such brands as Revlon, W Hotels, Saks Fifth Avenue, Estee Lauder, Express, Loreal, Donna Karan, Sephora, Stila, Shabby Chic, Ray-Ban, Vogue, and US Weekly for branded programming and sponsorships. Rubin also discovered and invited fashion expert Steven Cojocaru to serve as a fashion critic for E!, the first national outlet to employ him.
Currently, Rubin is working on more books for the Frumpy To Foxy franchise.
