Emily Blunt

Emily Blunt is a British actress and a naturalized citizen of the United States. The recipient of numerous accolades, Blunt has won both a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award, along with nominations for four British Academy Film Awards. In 2020, Forbes ranked her as one of the highest-paid actresses globally.

Blunt's breakthrough came in 2006 with her roles in the television film Gideon's Daughter and the comedy-drama film The Devil Wears Prada. She continued to rise to prominence with leading roles in the period film The Young Victoria, the romantic comedy Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, the science fiction films The Adjustment Bureau, Looper and Edge of Tomorrow, and the musical Into the Woods.

Blunt received much critical acclaim for her roles as a principled FBI agent in the crime film Sicario, an alcoholic in the psychological thriller The Girl on the Train, and a survivalist mother in A Quiet Place, directed by her husband John Krasinski. For her performance in A Quiet Place, Blunt won a Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Supporting Actress. She has continued to excel in her career with roles in the sequels Mary Poppins Returns and A Quiet Place Part II, the fantasy adventure Jungle Cruise, the western television miniseries "The English," and her portrayal of Katherine Oppenheimer in Christopher Nolan's biographical film Oppenheimer. Blunt received critical acclaim for her performance in Oppenheimer and received nominations for Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards.

Outside of her acting career, Blunt is involved with the American Institute for Stuttering and hosts a gala to raise funds for speech therapy scholarships. Additionally, she is an active advocate for the Malala Fund and Family Reach, highlighting her dedication to philanthropy.
