Emily Deschanel Biography
Emily Deschanel's career in the entertainment industry took a significant turn when she landed the lead role of Dr. Temperance Brennan in the Fox series "Bones." She later served as producer for "Bones" as well. Her work has earned her a Satellite Award nomination in 2006 and a Teen Choice Award nomination the following year. She received multiple nominations at the People's Choice Awards, including Favorite TV Crime Fighter in 2011 and Favorite Dramatic TV Actress in 2013.
Deschanel has also starred in the Netflix miniseries "Devil in Ohio," and has appeared in episodes of "BoJack Horseman," "The Simpsons," and "Sleepy Hollow."
Outside of her acting career, Deschanel has been actively involved in advocacy work, particularly in animal rights and veganism. She collaborated with PETA on a campaign titled "Ditch Dairy!" which aimed to expose the harsh realities of the dairy industry. In 2014, she joined the board of directors at Farm Sanctuary, further solidifying her commitment to animal rights. She has also contributed to the documentary field, providing narration for "My Child Is a Monkey" and serving as an associate producer for "How I Became an Elephant."
