Erik Altieri Biography
Erik Altieri is the Executive Director, National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML). As the executive director, Altieri's focuses on modernizing NORML and grass-roots organizing.
Altieri is the youngest person to head the oldest and largest organization working to end the war on marijuana. He started to intern at NORML in 2007. He next became their Communications Director and ran their federal and state lobbying efforts and legislative out-reach, administered NORML’s social media networks and served as a spokesman to the press. He also became the manager of NORML PAC, and worked to elect marijuana reform-friendly candidates at all levels of government. In 2015, he left NORML to explore other political arenas including the Mayday PAC which is mostly focused on combating the corroding influence of big money on our political process.
He was selected to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2018 for the Law & Policy category.
