Erin Buescher Perperoglou Biography
Erin Buescher Perperoglou is a former professional basketball player in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA).
Over the course of her eight-year career, Buescher Perperoglou played more than 2,500 minutes in 150 WNBA games, including nine playoff games, scoring nearly 900 career points and accumulating 500 rebounds. She was a team member of the Sacramento Monarchs when they won their 2005 WNBA Championship.
Drafted by the Minnesota Lynx in the second round of the 2002 WNBA Draft, Buescher Perperoglou was a three-time Big West Conference Player of the Year at NCAA Division I UC Santa Barbara before transferring to The Masters University (TMU). At TMU, Buescher Perperoglou averaged 17.6 points and 9.3 rebounds, leading the Mustangs to an overall record of 26-3. At the time, it marked the team’s best-ever season and she became the program’s first National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) First-Team All-American player.
Buescher Perperoglou announced her retirement from the WNBA at the conclusion of the 2009 season. In 2022, she was inducted into TMU's Athletics Hall of Honor.
