Eugene Levy

Eugene Levy is a Canadian actor and comedian best known for his roles in "American Pie" and "Schitt's Creek." His career in the industry spans several decades and has seen him appear in notable films such as "National Lampoon's Vacation," "Splash," and "Multiplicity." Levy started out writing and acting stints for the Canadian television sketch series SCTV and has since collaborated with the likes of Christopher Guest on "Waiting for Guffman," "Best in Show," "A Mighty Wind," and "For Your Consideration." His range of roles, often playing unusual supporting characters with nerdy streaks, have made him a recognizable figure in the entertainment industry.

Levy has won four Primetime Emmy Awards, including the 'Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series' award for his role in "Schitt's Creek," a sitcom he co-created with his son, Dan Levy. He has also demonstrated his musical talents by winning a Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media for "A Mighty Wind," a song he co-wrote in 2003. In addition to co-creating "Schitt's Creek," Levy hosted and executive produced "The Reluctant Traveler," an Apple Original travel series on Apple TV+. In 2024, Levy will host the 76th Emmy Awards alongside his son, Dan Levy.

Beyond his career in TV and Film, Levy is an advocate for autism awareness and treatment and is a member of the Canadian charity Artists Against Racism. He was appointed to the Order of Canada in 2011, later elevated to a Companion of the Order of Canada in 2022, and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2024.
