Francis Poon Biography
Francis Poon graduated from NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized Studies with a degree concentration in visual culture and education. While at NYU, he held multiple positions with the Washington Square News, student leadership, and interned for Esquire Magazine.
After graduating, he worked on several documentaries, including "Belief," a 7-hour journey with Oprah into “the human need to connect with something greater than ourselves.” This documentary contained stories from more than 35 countries, and aired on OWN: the Oprah Winfrey Network in 2015.
He is currently working as a Co-Producer and Post Manager on the show "This is Life with Lisa Ling" on CNN. The series is on its eighth season, and explores the rich tapestry of communities and issues affecting America today.
