Pastor of Franklin Avenue Baptist Church in New Orleans, the largest church in Louisiana, Fred Luter knows what it looks like to stand in the face of adversity. In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, he kept his congregation together. In 2012, Mr. Luter became the first African American President of the SBC.
