Freddy Miyares Biography
Freddy Miyares is an actor, model, editor and Instagram personality from Miami, Florida. He started his career with a minor in the drama TV series "Elementary," but is best known for portraying older Raymond Santana on the 2019 Netflix original series "When They See Us."
Miyares inherited Honduran and Cuban roots from his parents. Growing up as a Latino-American kid, he faced a lot of discrimination. Discouraged from speaking in his native tongue, he now regrets no longer being as expressive in Spanish as he'd like to be.
The talented performer pursued his acting ambitions at the Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama in Pennsylvania. Before graduating with a BFA in acting in 2017, he earned a scholarship and also made the Dean’s List. During his time in Pennsylvania, Miyares acted in various student theater productions and performed on the local theater scene.
