Gary Lynn

Gary Lynn, Ph.D., is a tenured full professor at Stevens Institute of Technology, specializing in healthcare innovation. He serves as Chairman of Lynnovate.com, an international innovation consulting company. Dr. Lynn has started, built, and sold four companies and was formerly the Senior Managing Director and Chief Innovation Officer for Spencer Trask, a venture capital firm that has invested significantly in technology businesses.

Selected by Business 2.0 Magazine as one of the nine leading management gurus in the world—an honor previously given to figures such as Peter Drucker and W.E. Deming—Dr. Lynn has also been recognized by the International Association for the Management of Technology (IAMOT) as one of the top seven thought leaders in Technology-Innovation Management in both 2003 and 2008. His academic credentials include a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from Vanderbilt University, a Master of Management from the Kellogg School at Northwestern, and a Ph.D. in marketing and new product development from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Dr. Lynn has authored or co-authored over a dozen books on innovation, including "Blockbusters: The Five Keys to Developing GREAT New Products" and an 11-volume series titled "The Future of Healthcare: Innovations Moving Healthcare into the 21st Century," which focuses on emerging technologies in healthcare. He has also contributed more than 60 refereed publications on technical innovation. His innovative contributions extend globally; he was invited by the King of Malaysia to present a keynote on his unique innovation process designed to enhance the country's innovation capabilities. Dr. Lynn's extensive experience and pioneering work in metric-based innovation challenge traditional assumptions about achieving successful innovation, positioning him as a leading authority in the field.
