Gene Simmons

Gene Simmons co-founded the rock band KISS over four decades ago. KISS has sold over 100 million CDs and DVDs worldwide and continues to sell out stadiums and arenas globally, breaking box-office records set by Elvis and the Beatles. The band has over 3,000 licensed merchandise items. KISS was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame at the 2014 induction ceremony, and the band is recognized with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for its pioneering work. KISS has been lauded as America’s #1 gold record award-winning group of all time in all categories by the RIAA.

In addition to his musical career, Simmons is a multi-hyphenate entrepreneur and one of the world’s most recognized personalities. He has starred in his own reality show, "Gene Simmons Family Jewels," for 9 seasons and 167 episodes on A&E. Simmons also starred in "Gene Simmons Rock School" (VH1) for two seasons and created "Mr. Romance" (Oxygen) and the cartoon "My Dad the Rock Star" (Nickelodeon). He co-produced the film "Detroit Rock City."

Simmons has appeared in numerous films including Tristar’s "Runaway," New World’s "Wanted Dead or Alive," and "Extract," among others. He managed the recording career of Liza Minnelli and discovered the rock band Van Halen. Simmons has also been involved in television, appearing in shows such as "Miami Vice," "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," and "Ugly Betty."

In 2015, Simmons and WWE launched Erebus Pictures, which produces elevated horror films, beginning with the high concept "Temple" script. Additionally, he has recently launched two new ventures – MOTION Pictures, a fully-funded motion picture company that will produce and finance its own films; and SIREN, which engages in a variety of ventures, including real estate and other acquisitions.

Simmons is a co-founding partner of the family-friendly, rock-inspired restaurant brand Rock and Brews. Locations include the Rock & Brews Delta terminal in LAX; Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; El Segundo, California; Redondo Beach, California; Overland Park, Kansas; Paia, Maui; Orlando, Florida; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and many more sites.

In 2019, Simmons launched a two-year-long world tour with KISS, celebrating its 40th anniversary. He continues to leverage his iconic persona in various business ventures and philanthropic efforts, notably supporting causes for children, veterans, active military, and first responders. He has been honored with the END Humanitarian Award for his support of Mending Kids International. Simmons is not only a legendary figure in music but also a prominent keynote speaker, having spoken at NASDAQ, the NY Stock Exchange, and the London School of Business.
