George Burgess Biography
George Burgess is the Founder and CEO of Gojimo. Six years ago, George Burgess, now 23, was so unimpressed with the mobile apps available to help him study for a geography exam that he launched his own. A string of other apps for different subjects followed and Gojimo was born. The app now includes prep courses for the SAT, ACT, AP exams and the UK's A-Levels. Burgess has negotiated deals with McGraw-Hill Education and Oxford University Press and raised $3m from Index Ventures. Burgess dropped out of Stanford to pursue the business full-time.
