He and Ryan Calejo co-authored the middle grade "Chupacarter" series, which delves into themes of friendship, belonging, and heritage.
Lopez co-founded The George Lopez Foundation, which focuses on assisting individuals dealing with chronic kidney conditions, a cause close to him as a kidney transplant recipient.
