Gerard Way is recognized for his multi-faceted career spanning music and the world of comics. As the co-founder and lead vocalist of the rock band My Chemical Romance, Way carved a niche for himself in the music industry. The band's success was marked by its significant influence on the rock scene until their split in 2013. The band reunited and began performing again in 2019, went on a world tour in 2022 and 2023, and headlined the When We Were Young Festival in 2024.
