Glenn Singleton

Glenn Eric Singleton was born in Baltimore, Maryland and received his education initially in public elementary and independent secondary schools. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his master’s degree from the Graduate School of Education at Stanford University. Singleton's professional journey began as an Ivy League admissions director, and in 1992, he founded Pacific Educational Group, Inc. (PEG), a company dedicated to addressing systemic educational inequity by providing a framework, guidance, and support to educational institutions focused on underserved students of color. He holds the position of president and chief executive officer at PEG.

Singleton expanded his influence by founding Courageous Conversation® and serves as its CEO. This agency is pivotal in guiding leadership development across various sectors. His notable written works include "Courageous Conversations About Race" and "MORE Courageous Conversations About Race." Additionally, Singleton established the Foundation for a College Education in 1995 and continues to contribute as a member of its Advisory Board. In 2020, he joined WorkWider as a Partner and in 2022, he launched Glenn Singleton & Associates, a consulting firm aimed at advancing racial equity agendas in executive leadership. Singleton's work extends globally, having consulted for major organizations such as Google, Amazon, and the New York Department of Education, and has involved training law enforcement leaders with the U.S. Embassy in Western Australia.

Singleton’s efforts in education and equity have not gone unrecognized; he has received several awards, including the 2017 Most Valuable Partnership (MVP) Award by AdColor with W+K, the George A. Coleman Excellence in Equity Award, the AdWeek/AdColor 2020 Champion Award, and the 2021 Ad Age Creativity Awards Diversity & Inclusion Champion of the Year. As an educator, he has served as an adjunct professor at San Jose State University and guest lecturer at institutions including Harvard University.

Today, Singleton resides in San Francisco, California, continuing his mission to address racial disparities and foster equitable environments through various platforms and initiatives worldwide. His work with PEG remains influential, particularly through the widely recognized Beyond Diversity seminar, which serves as the foundation for the PEG Systemic Racial Equity Framework. This framework emphasizes leadership development, teacher action-research, and community empowerment, striving to introduce culturally proficient curriculum and assessment in educational settings globally.
