Gloria Allred

Gloria Allred is a renowned women's rights attorney and a founding partner of Allred, Maroko & Goldberg (AM&G), a leading private law firm which handles more women’s rights cases than any other private firm in the nation and has won hundreds of millions of dollars for victims. Allred also founded and currently presides over the Women's Equal Rights Legal Defense and Education Fund (WERLDEF).

AM&G advocates for victims discriminated against due to their sex, race, age, physical handicap, sexual orientation, and those affected by AIDS. The firm is distinguished for its representation in cases of sexual harassment, wrongful termination, sexual assault, rape, child sexual abuse, and domestic violence. Allred's legal career spans over 47 years, during which she has won numerous awards, including the President’s Volunteer Action Award from Ronald Reagan in 1986, a Lifetime Achievement Award by the National Organization for Women in 2018, and the Lifetime Achievement Award from American Lawyer Magazine in 2021.

Allred earned her BA with honors in English from the University of Pennsylvania, her MA from New York University, and her JD cum laude from Loyola University School of Law in Los Angeles. She has also been awarded honorary JDs from the University of West Los Angeles School of Law and, most recently, from Southwestern Law School in 2023.

Allred is the author of "Fight Back and Win: My Thirty-Year Fight Against Injustice - And How You Can Win Your Own Battles" and the subject of the 2018 Netflix documentary, "“Seeing Allred.” A three-time Emmy nominee for her commentaries on KABC and her show "We the People, with Gloria Allred," Allred was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in 2012.
