Grant Fisher

Grant Fisher is an accomplished middle- and long-distance runner whose running career took off in high school, culminating in being named Gatorade Player of the Year for cross country for two consecutive seasons, 2013–2014 and 2014–2015. Fisher's prowess in running continued to flourish at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, where he was a 12-time All-American and improved from a 17th-place finish his freshman year to second place in the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships his senior year.

Fisher's professional career, initiated in June 2019 when he joined the Nike-sponsored Bowerman Track Club, has been decorated with multiple American records in the 3000 m, two-mile, 5000 m, and 10,000 m events. His personal bests include a 3000m time of 7:39.99 in 2020 and the 5000m in 13:11.68 the same year. Fisher's performance in the 2020 United States Olympic trials earned him a place in the Summer Games in Tokyo, where he finished fifth in the 10000 m and ninth in the 5000 m. Records continued to be shattered in 2022 when Fisher set four North American records, becoming the first American to run the 5000 m in under 12:50 and the 10000 m in under 26:40. His exceptional performance earned him his first national title in the 5000 m at the 2022 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Despite a femur injury in 2023, Fisher bounced back in 2024, setting an American record in the indoor 2-mile at the Millrose Games.

One of Fisher's most noteworthy accomplishments came at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he won bronze medals in the 5000 m and 10,000 m events. This achievement distinguished Fisher as the first American to medal in both events at an Olympic Games. Throughout his career, Fisher has competed in various international competitions, including the World Youth Championships, World Junior Championships, Olympic Games, and World Championships, and national championships, such as the US Olympic Trials and USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
