Hank Chen

Hank Chen is best known for his leading role in Life-Size 2 opposite Tyra Banks and Francia Raisa. Life-Size 2 became the #1 cable program the night of its premiere. A ratings winner, it was Freeform's most watched original movie in half a decade and is on track to becoming a beloved Christmas classic. Hank is additionally recognized from roles in countless award-winning films and television programs across broadcast, cable, and streaming networks including scene-stealing turns in Transparent, High Maintenance, Home Again, and his film debut in Robin's Williams's final theatrical release, The Angriest Man in Brooklyn.

Born and raised in the suburbs of Washington, D.C., Hank entered the entertainment industry and achieved his dream of becoming an actor and comedian. In 2011, noticing a dearth in gay and Asian voices in mainstream media, Hank created and launched a successful Youtube channel in using humor and heartfelt content to serve an underrepresented community for four years. The height of his Youtube channel's popularity led to partnerships with global brands such as Verizon, Ford, and Hearst to create and produce digital content.

Never one to shy away from speaking out, Hank tours performing stand-up comedy and has made regular appearances as a host, commentator, and panelist on programs for VH1, Logo and TYT networks.

He was an original founding board member of LGBT activist group, OneWheaton, which garnered national press and attention upon its launch. Comprised of alumni from the religious college he attended, countless publications reported on the organization's important work and purpose. Time Magazine wrote, ""a gay student posted last week on Wheaton's student message board that OneWheaton helped save him when he was depressed and suicidal."" He became one of the subjects of Queers In The Kingdom, a documentary chronicling the formation of a group whose work continues to this day.
