Harvey Keitel

Harvey Keitel, an American actor, is renowned for his roles in a variety of films, often featuring morally ambiguous and "tough guy" characters. His rise to fame coincided with the New Hollywood movement, and his ongoing collaboration with director Martin Scorsese has led to his appearance in six of Scorsese's films. Notably, Keitel's portrayal of Mickey Cohen in "Bugsy" (1991) earned him a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Keitel's body of work is extensive, having starred in films such as "Blue Collar" (1978), "Thelma & Louise" (1991), "Reservoir Dogs" (1992), "Pulp Fiction" (1994) and "The Irishman" (2019). His performance in "The Piano" (1993) won him the AACTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role. Beyond his work with Scorsese, Keitel has also starred in three films directed by Wes Anderson: "Moonrise Kingdom" (2012), "The Grand Budapest Hotel" (2014), and "Isle of Dogs" (2018). He also starred in "National Treasure" and its sequel "National Treasure: Book of Secrets."

In addition to his film work, Keitel also held a leadership role in the Actors Studio from 1995 to 2017, serving as co-president along with Al Pacino and Ellen Burstyn. His more recent work includes roles in Steven Brand's noir thriller "Joe Baby" (2022), and reprising his role as FBI Agent Peter Sadusky in the Disney+ series "National Treasure: Edge of History" (2022). In recognition of his lengthy and diverse career, Keitel received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Newport Beach Film Festival in 2021.
