Heather McDonald is a stand-up comic and full-time writer and story producer on E!'s "Chelsea Lately." She appeared in the Wayans Brothers' "White Chicks" (which she also co-wrote with the Wayans) and "Dance Flick," was a regular on MTV's "Lyricist Lounge," and had guest roles on hit television shows "Frasier," "Malcolm in the Middle," "Reno 911," "Drake and Josh," "Quintuplets" and "Watching Ellie." She has been writing for Us Weekly's Fashion Police for eight years.
McDonald can be seen weekly on "Chelsea Lately" either on the roundtable or performing in the comedy sketches where she has impersonated such celebrities as Drew Barrymore, Kim Cattrall, Celine Dion, Lauren Conrad, Amy Winehouse, Marlee Matlin, Cher, The Kardashians, The Octomom, Sarah Palin, Allie Lohan, Mylie Cyrus, Jen Aniston, Renee Zellwegger, Geri Jewel and various Real Housewives.
McDonald's 2010 book, "You'll Never Blue Ball In This Town Again: One Woman's Painfully Funny Quest To Give It Up" is a laugh out-loud story of being an attractive Los Angeles woman who finds herself in quite a predicament as an unwilling virgin. As Chelsea Handler so lovingly puts it, "Thank God Heather waited 27 years to lose her virginity or she wouldn't have any material for this book."
While living it up as an actress, writer, and stand-up comedienne, McDonald passed up ample opportunities to have her V-card revoked by handsome, rich, and sometimes even fabulously famous men, but she could not bring herself to do it until well after her friends had been deflowered. Whether in a backseat, a community pool, or a sports stadium ... with a frat boy, a doctor, or an A-list celebrity, McDonald knew how to turn those boys blue.
Unlike putting out, blue balling might not have paid the rent or landed her free trips to Hawaii, but it did provide her with hilarious stories and adventures in her search for true loveand, ultimately, her very own happy ending.
In 2013, she released her second book, "My Inappropriate Life: Some Material Not Suitable for Small Children, Nuns, or Mature Adults," a funny look at her life now that she's happily married with three children.
McDonald headlines comedy clubs and has also opened for Chelsea Handler in sold out performances around the country. These 3,000-5,000 seat theaters have included Carnegie Hall, The Bogota in Atlantic City, The Pearl in the Palms Casino, The Filmore in Miami and The Fox Theater in Atlanta to name just a few. She was a member of The Groundlings Theater where she performed in the Sunday Company for two years. She is a graduate of the University of Southern California.
