Holli Martinez Biography
Holli Martinez is a force in the realm of diversity and inclusion at T-Mobile, pioneering initiatives since 2013 to create an inclusive workplace where all employees flourish. As the company's Vice President and Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, she has instilled a culture of empowerment, leading to significant engagement with a company that boasts 25,000 employees, six Employee Resource Groups and 53 local D&I chapters across the nation.
Martinez' commitment to equity and empowerment was evident in her founding of The Martinez Foundation in 2007. Inspired by her undergraduate studies at the University of Washington Bothell, where she delved into seminal texts on social justice by Paulo Freire and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., she recognized the pressing need for diversity in Washington State's Title 1 public schools. Through the Martinez Foundation, she and her husband Edgar, a former professional baseball player, embarked on a mission to support teachers of color, enhancing the educational landscape for marginalized communities.
In addition to her BA degree, Martinez holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington's Evans School of Public Affairs. She is a Cornell-certified Diversity Practitioner.
