Hon Pak Biography
As the head of Digital Health, Hon Pak, MD, leads the Global Digital Health Strategy and Team. He aims to harness Samsung’s extensive digital presence across various devices and its expertise in consumer experience to transform this consumer experience into patient engagement, ultimately improving health outcomes.
Prior to joining Samsung Dr. Pak served as Chief Medical Officer for 3M HIS where he led the clinical economics research group which developed content that is being used in both payment and measuring outcomes for healthcare systems across the globe. He has experience in mobile health telemedicine and health IT in various capacities including as a researcher, board member, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Marketing Officer.
Dr. Pak served in the U.S. military for 26 years and was the Army’s first Chief Medical Information Officer and physician Chief Information Officer for the U.S. Army Medical Department. He is a past board member and past president of the American Telemedicine Association and he currently serves on the editorial board for Telemedicine and eHealth and on the Consumer Technology Association Health Board.
