Hugh Jackman

Hugh Jackman, an Australian actor, first garnered widespread recognition for his role as Wolverine in the X-Men film series, a role that won him a Guinness World Record for the "longest career as a live-action Marvel character." Jackman's diverse portfolio spans various genres, from romantic time-travel comedy in "Kate & Leopold" to historical fantasy in "Van Helsing," mystery thriller in "The Prestige," epic romantic musical in "Les Misérables," to a biographical musical in "The Greatest Showman." In 2024, Jackman reprised his role as Wolverine in "Deadpool & Wolverine."

Jackman's prowess is not limited to the silver screen; he has also made his mark on theatre stages, including Broadway. He's portrayed Gaston in "Beauty and the Beast," Joe Gillis in "Sunset Boulevard," and notably won a Tony Award for his role as Peter Allen in "The Boy from Oz." After attending Pymble Public School and Knox Grammar School, he pursued a BA in Communications at the University of Technology, Sydney. His training in the performing arts was further honed at the Actors' Centre in Sydney and later at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts of Edith Cowan University in Perth, from which he graduated in 1994.
