Isabel Aguilera

Very few women have the distinction of being rated by Fortune magazine as one of the "Top 50 Most Influential Executives in the World." One of them is Isabel Aguilera. The Wall Street Journal included Isabel Aguilera amongst its "30 Most Influential Business Women in Europe" in 2001 for her role in leading Dell Computer to the top of the market, with the largest volume of trade results achieved in Spain. Ms. Aguilera is also considered one of the "Top 25 Senior Managers in Europe" by The Financial Times, and was one of the "100 Most Influential People in Spain" in 2006, according to Spanish newspaper El Mundo.

From 2002 until 2005, in her role as Chief Operating Officer for NH Hotels, Isabel Aguilera looked after every detail of the company's 240 hotels in 18 countries. She has been involved in significant business model transformations, particularly in the hospitality sector with NH Hotels.

Prior to joining NH Hotels, Isabel Aguilera served as Dell Computer Corporation's Chief Executive Officer for Spain, Italy, and Portugal. Under her leadership, Dell increased its market position in Europe. Additionally, Ms. Aguilera served in sales and marketing capacities at Olivetti PC, Airtel Movil (Vodafone), and Hewlett-Packard. Later in 2006, she combined her role as Managing Director of Google for Spain and Portugal with her work as an independent consultant. In addition, Isabel Aguilera was General Electric's President for Spain and Portugal until 2009.

Today, her extensive experience in marketing and operations, along with her roles as an independent director on the boards of several companies, serve Isabel Aguilera well. She is also an active teacher and writer, holding an associate professorship at ESADE and Deusto Business School, and is the author of "The Crossroads Charlotte: Keys to achieve professional success." Ms. Aguilera holds degrees in Architecture and Urbanism and has an MBA from the Instituto de Empresa, along with a PDG from IESE.
