J Scott is a real-life anti-hero who walks the walk. Raised in Los Angeles, he learned early on that actions speak louder than words. After dropping out of high school at 17, Scott joined the Navy and became a Naval Rescue Swimmer, proving that grit beats talent every time.
Over two decades ago, he founded 120VC to help leaders and teams get things done that matter. His core belief: to get different results, people need to work differently. Scott is all about leadership that creates safe spaces for teams to experiment and succeed.
For over 20 years, he’s led transformational efforts for major brands like DirecTV, Trader Joe’s, Blizzard Entertainment, and Sony Pictures. Scott is the author of two Amazon bestsellers, "It’s Never Just Business: It’s About People" and "The Irreverent Guide to Project Leadership."
