JD Heyman Biography
JD Heyman is Editor-in-Chief of Entertainment Weekly and a veteran entertainment journalist. Prior to joining the brand this year, he had been Deputy Editor of PEOPLE since 2014. JD successfully reinvigorated PEOPLE’s entertainment coverage and built new franchises, such as “25 Women Changing the World,” and pioneered initiatives on new platforms, such as VR and AR, that made PEOPLE a stronger force in Hollywood and beyond. Under his leadership, he transformed the entertainment content team at PEOPLE into a cutting edge force in reporting, editorial-business partnerships and the ideation of next-generation ideas in magazine making, digital news, TV and social media. JD began his career at PEOPLE as an Associate Editor. Earlier in his career, he was a senior editor of US Weekly and a feature writer at the NY Daily News. JD has written for various magazines and newspapers, including the New York Times, New York and Men’s Health.
