JP Kuehlwein is a recognized strategy expert, global brand builder, and accomplished marketing leader with over 25 years of experience in creating or re-positioning brands that succeed in the market. He is also an engaging speaker and author who can look back at a successful track record of translating consumer and branding insights into transformational propositions. Kuehlwein's expertise covers a broad range of products, from mass-market items to high luxury, and his focus includes premium and lifestyle brands.

Kuehlwein is the co-founder and partner at 'Ueber-Brands', a consultancy that helps owners elevate their brands to make them peerless, priceless, and profitable. He previously served as Executive Vice President of Frédéric Fekkai, a global prestige brand and fully owned subsidiary of Procter & Gamble. Additionally, he has held roles such as Managing Director of Global Strategy & Innovation at Procter & Gamble and Brand Director. Kuehlwein also serves as an External Director of Smith & Norbu, a Hong Kong-based luxury optical frame maker.

Kuehlwein has co-authored the best-selling book "Rethinking Prestige Branding – Secrets of the Ueber-Brands", which has become a reference for marketers. The book, co-authored with Wolfgang Schaefer, analyzes the success drivers behind one hundred premium brands across industries, advocating for the importance of storytelling in branding to elevate a brand significantly. Kuehlwein is regularly involved in consulting, public speaking, and teaching across various industries and markets in English, French, and German. He is also a faculty member at Columbia University's Business School and NYU's Stern School of Business. Based out of New York City, he serves on the industry advisory board of the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT, NY), the CMO Council (San Francisco), and L2 Inc. (NYC). Additionally, he is an advisory board member at the CFMM Master's Program of FIT and a Senior Fellow and Leader of the Marketing Institute at The Conference Board.
