Jaime Rojo is a photographer and National Geographic Explorer who combines his passion for wild nature, conservation and storytelling to create visual communication campaigns that engage the general public on environmental issues. A strong advocate of wilderness conservation and large-landscape connectivity, he hopes his images can ultimately become a tool for the creation of new protected areas.
Rojo frequently collaborates as a photographer, filmmaker, and communications advisor with environmental organizations, corporate clients, educational institutions, and government agencies all over the world. His most recent projects include "Andorra al natural," which focuses on the wild nature of the small country in the Pyrenees, and "Saving the Monarchs," a cover story for National Geographic Magazine about the migration of monarch butterflies -- from their natural history to the threats they face to the people working to protect them.
Rojo is an International League of Conservation Photographers Senior Fellow and a trustee of the WILD Foundation. He has received honors in competitions such as the World Press Photo, Wildlife Photographer of the Year and Picture of the Year International.
