Jalen Hurts

Jalen Hurts currently serves as the quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, a role he assumed in December 2020. His journey in football began in college, where he achieved notable success with both the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Oklahoma Sooners. At Alabama, Hurts was part of the 2017 CFP national championship team and was named SEC Offensive Player of the Year in 2016. He then transferred to Oklahoma for his final year of eligibility in 2019, setting a new single-game yardage record in his debut and leading the team to a Big 12 Championship and a spot in the College Football Playoff.

Following his successful college career, Hurts was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round of the 2020 NFL draft. His contributions to the team were immediate and impactful. He led the Eagles to Super Bowl appearances in 2022 and 2024, making him the first Eagles quarterback to achieve this feat. Hurts became a Super Bowl champion after the Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX, and he was awarded MVP of the Super Bowl. Some of the other honors he's received include Pro Bowl selections in 2022 and 2023, second-team All-Pro honors in 2022, and a Bert Bell Award in 2022. Hurts also set several records, including the most rushing touchdowns in a season by a quarterback and the most rushing touchdowns in a postseason game by a quarterback.

Off the field, Hurts completed his B.A. in communication and information sciences in 2018 and his M.A. in human relations in 2023. He has used his platform for advocacy, supporting women in sports, and employing an all-female management team. In 2021, he participated in the NFL's "My Cause, My Cleats" initiative to honor female empowerment and women in sports.
