James D. Power IV

James D. Power IV is an Executive Vice President at J.D. Power and Associates, a leading marketing information firm founded by James D. Power III. As head of International Operations, he spearheads the development of international strategy and global platforms for research, analysis, consulting, and education. He also assesses and coordinates the needs of multinational clients and oversees the flow of information internally between the firm’s international offices in Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Asia Pacific. James D. Power IV is also Chairman of J.D. Power Asia Pacific, a wholly owned subsidiary of J.D. Power and Associates.

James D. Power IV is the coauthor of "Satisfaction: How Every Great Company Listens to the Voice of the Customer," a book that explores how companies can boost profits by enhancing customer satisfaction, utilizing J.D. Power’s extensive data. Since joining J.D. Power and Associates in 1990, he has held a number of senior positions within the firm. He co-directed the firm’s regional office in Troy, Michigan, focusing on business development with automotive manufacturers and suppliers. During his tenure, he managed the firm’s activities in Canada and acted as liaison with J.D. Power Asia Pacific.

James D. Power IV began his career at the advertising agency Foote, Cone and Belding, working on Mazda's national marketing and communications program. He later joined Chevrolet Motor Division of General Motors Corporation as Geo marketing development manager for the Southern California and Arizona region. He received a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of San Diego and serves on the Board of Regents of California Lutheran University.
