James Gimian
James Gimian Biography
James Gimian is publisher of Mindful magazine and Mindful.org, and, since launch, has spearheaded Mindful’s community-building efforts within the mindfulness movement. He sits on a number of boards and advisory groups in the field including the Center for Mindfulness at UMass, the Institute for Mindful Leadership, and Mindful Schools.
James has been involved in book and magazine publishing in the field of mindfulness and mediation since 1973. He is co-author of two books on Sun Tzu’s Art of War, and has taught leadership training programs and mindfulness in North America and Europe since the 70s.
Mindful magazine and Mindful.org are media efforts of the mission driven nonprofit Foundation for a Mindful Society designed to encourage the adoption of mindfulness-based practices to benefit people in all aspects of life in our society.
