James Golden, widely recognized by his pseudonym Bo Snerdley, is a radio personality renowned for his three-decade association with The Rush Limbaugh Show. Born in Queens, New York, Golden attended Andrew Jackson High School and later studied at the City University of New York-Queens College.
Golden's early career in radio began at WWRL, where he served as a marketing and research director, eventually becoming the station's first music research director. Between 1992 and 1998, he co-hosted The James and Joel Show, a political call-in program on WABC radio in New York.
In 1991, Golden joined The Rush Limbaugh Show as a producer and call screener, adopting the on-air moniker "Bo Snerdley." He also contributed as a producer for the show's television counterpart, which aired from 1992 to 1996. His role expanded to include serving as a contributing editor for "The Limbaugh Letter," the show's widely read political newsletter.
Following Limbaugh's passing in February 2021, Golden launched the podcast Rush Limbaugh: The Man Behind the Golden EIB Microphone in May 2021, offering insights into their long-standing collaboration. In August 2021, he began hosting The Rush Hour with Bo Snerdley, an afternoon drive-time radio program on WABC in New York.
In November 2021, Golden authored "Rush on the Radio: A Tribute from His Sidekick for 30 Years," providing a personal account of his experiences working alongside Limbaugh.
