James Lafferty

James Lafferty plays the role of original Mercury 7 astronaut 'Scott Carpenter' in National Geographic's scripted series "The Right Stuff," which is based on Tom Wolfe's bestseller. Recently, James recurred in the Netflix hit series "The Haunting of Hill House" and played a strong supporting role in the critically acclaimed Nelms Brothers film "Small Town Crime" opposite John Hawkes and Octavia Spencer. Previous credits include starring roles in two other Nelms Brothers films, "Lost on Purpose" and "Waffle Street," a supporting role in Blumhouse's "Oculus," a recurring role in WGN's "Underground" and series regular roles in the CW's "One Tree Hill" and NBC's "Crisis." James has also branched out to direct several episodes of "One Tree Hill" and "The Royals" for E! Networks and continues to develop projects as a writer and producer. As a vehicle to encompass all of his passions, he created, wrote, directed, and starred in the first season of the independent TV show “Everyone is Doing Great,” which is currently playing at festivals worldwide.

In addition to his corporate and creative roles, James Lafferty is deeply involved in philanthropic efforts. He is the Co-Founder of the Kilimanjaro Blind Trust Foundation, which supports blind children in East Africa. Furthermore, he serves as the President of the Soap and Detergent Association of the Philippines and holds the position of Co-Chairman at Effective Consumer Response (ECR Philippines). Fluent in English and French, and based in the Philippines, James continues to impact various sectors with his diverse talents and commitment to both business and community service.
