Jamie Geller

Jamie Geller is a prominent Israeli-American food writer, celebrity chef, and media personality. She is best known for her contributions to kosher cuisine and Jewish culinary traditions.

Raised in a Jewish family in Abington, Pennsylvania, Geller attended Akiba Hebrew Academy High School. She pursued higher education at New York University, graduating magna cum laude in May 1999 with a degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in Hebrew language and literature.

Before venturing into the culinary world, Geller built a successful career in media. She worked as a writer and television producer for CNN, the Food Network, and Entertainment News. Additionally, she served as a senior writer/producer and marketing executive for HBO.

In 2007, Geller published her first cookbook, Quick & Kosher: Recipes from the Bride Who Knew Nothing, which chronicled her journey of embracing Orthodox Judaism, marriage, and learning to cook. This debut was followed by several other cookbooks, including Quick & Kosher: Meals in Minutes (2010) and Joy of Kosher: Fast, Fresh Family Recipes (2013).

Geller founded the Kosher Media Network, now known as Kosher Network International, which launched the "Joy of Kosher with Jamie Geller" online cooking show, print magazine, and a PBS Chanukah special in 2010. Her engaging approach to kosher cooking earned her the nickname "The Kosher Rachael Ray" by the Miami Herald.

In 2021, Geller joined Aish Global as the Chief Media and Marketing Officer, aiming to expand the organization's digital presence and engage a broader audience with Jewish content.

Geller is a baalat teshuva, having embraced Orthodox Judaism in her early 20s. In August 2012, she made aliyah to Israel and settled in Beit Shemesh with her husband, Nachum Geller, and their six children.
