Jared McCain Biography
Jared McCain is a professional basketball player selected by the Philadelphia 76ers as the 16th pick in the 2024 National Basketball Association (NBA) Draft. He played college basketball for the Duke University Blue Devils. A consensus five-star recruit, McCain was ranked among the top players of his class.
In 2023, McCain was the recipient of the McDonald's All-American title, a prestigious honor given to the top high school basketball players in the country, and played in the Jordan Brand Classic and the Nike Hoop Summit. He was named the Gatorade California Player of the Year after both his junior and senior years. McCain's success is not limited to American soil, as he represented the United States in international competition at the 2022 FIBA Under-18 Americas Championship.
In his first and only collegiate season, McCain demonstrated his ability to perform under pressure. A lethal shooter, he set a Duke freshman record with eight 3-pointers and tied a school freshman mark with 35 points in a Blue Devils victory over Florida State.
