Jason Berke

Jason Berke is a floral, entertaining and home decor aficionado who finds happiness in collaborating with makers and creatives of all walks of life and dimensions of difference. He has almost 25 years of experience in home product design, visual curation and storytelling.

Ever since he was a little boy, his imagination has been the driving force in his life journey. He was introduced to gardening, botanicals, and things about the home and these things became a passion. Over the years, he watered other passions in hosting, entertaining, and home decor and they bloomed into a beautiful career journey that had him most recently working for many years in the role of a Director of Home Product Design at Target Corporation.

Equally important in his personal path was his love of stories. He was the kind of child that would curl up with a book to explore other periods and places. Over time, being a teller of tales provided success through his participation on his collegiate speech team. His creativity and work ethic came together and propelled him forward as a multiple time all-around national champion public speaker and storyteller. It was through the activity that he found his voice. What made him different, his Judaism and his Queerness, were woven into his performances and speeches and his dimensions of difference were celebrated.

Berke has become a warm and welcoming host who revels in the joy of entertaining. This all lands him in the beautiful place he calls Warmhouse Story, a brand he founded in 2021. Different from a cool house (that saves plants from freezing) and a hot house (that is used for more tropical species), a warm house is a place where many different kinds of botanicals can grow and thrive together. Warmhouse Story follows suit.
