Jason Jones

Jason Jones is a multifaceted professional known for his work as a film producer, author, activist, and popular podcast host in addition to his acting and writing career. He initially gained recognition as a correspondent on Comedy Central’s Emmy- and Peabody Award-winning program “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” starting in 2005. Besides “The Daily Show,” Jones appeared on the hit CBS show “How I Met Your Mother”, CMT’s “Bounty Hunters”, and Amazon Prime’s “Creative Galaxy”.

Jones left “The Daily Show” to star in and executive produce the TBS series “Vacationland” alongside his wife, Samantha Bee, also a former "Daily Show" correspondent. On the feature side, his credits include roles in films such as “The Switch”, “Date Night”, “All About Steve”, and “Pitch Perfect”, among others. He has also written and performed in “Coopers’ Camera”, “The Bobroom”, “Ham & Cheese”, and directed the short film “Shotgun Harley”. His upcoming feature releases include “Hot Tub Time Machine 2” and “Stereotypically You.”

In addition to his entertainment career, Jones has made significant contributions to human rights and humanitarian efforts. He is the president of the Human Rights Education Organization (H.E.R.O.) and serves as the director of The Vulnerable People Project. His commitment to social causes is reflected in his work as an executive producer on films like "Bella," which won the People's Choice Award at the 2006 Toronto International Film Festival, and other impactful projects including "Voiceless" and "Mother Marianne: Portrait of a Saint". His documentary works, such as those highlighting the plight of religious minorities in Iraq and the persecution of the Uyghur in China, underscore his dedication to human rights advocacy.
