Javier Ferreira

Javier Ferreira is the co-CEO of Scopely, a leading interactive entertainment company and mobile games developer. He joined Scopely in 2014 and has played a pivotal role in the company's growth and success. Under Ferreira's leadership, Scopely has seen notable achievements, including high-profile acquisitions, partnerships, and the launch of top-grossing franchises such as "Star Trek Fleet Command," "Marvel Strike Force," and "Scrabble GO." His strategic vision and industry expertise have established Scopely as a major player in the global gaming market.

Previously, Ferreira held various leadership positions in the gaming and entertainment industries at Disney Interactive, TF Online, Electronic Arts and JAMDAT Mobile before joining Scopely as its President and COO. He began his career in gaming at Telefónica Mobile as Head of Product, Games.

Ferreira's leadership has brought Scopely recognition as one of Fast Company’s World’s Most Innovative Companies and Entrepreneur’s 30 Startups to Watch. It also ranked as #2 on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 list and #9 on Inc. 5000 as one of the fastest-growing companies in North America. In 2019, Ferreira was also recognized by Variety as a Dealmaker of the Year.

Ferreira holds a BS in economics from the University of Warwick and an MS in social anthropology from the University of Oxford.
