Jay Sekulow

Jay Sekulow is Chief Counsel at the American Center for Law & Justice and the European Centre for Law and Justice. He hosts a radio and television talk show and is a frequent guest commentator on the Christian Broadcasting Network and the Fox News Channel. A self-described Messianic Jew, Sekulow has built a legal and media empire over a thirty-year period by representing conservative, religious, pro-life groups.

Sekulow is on President Donald Trump's personal legal team, which is advising the president in connection with the conspiracy investigation, by a team led by former FBI Director Robert Mueller and by various Congressional committees, into links between Trump associates and Russian officials. His expertise in constitutional law, particularly in cases involving religious liberty, has led him to present oral arguments before the Supreme Court of the United States in numerous landmark cases.

At the U.S. Supreme Court, Sekulow has argued 12 cases, establishing significant precedents in the area of religious liberty litigation. He believes that religious liberty is an international right and a global concern. He launched the European Centre for Law and Justice (ECLJ) in Strasbourg, France, which is the seat of the European Court of Human Rights. Sekulow serves as Chief Counsel of the ECLJ and has opened offices around the world in: France, Russia, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Pakistan, and Israel.

Sekulow has been recognized as one of the 100 most influential lawyers in America by the National Law Journal twice. He is also an author, with his book "Rise of ISIS" reaching number one on the New York Times bestseller's list. In 2014, he received the Athenagoras Human Rights Award from the Greek Orthodox Order of St. Andrew the Apostle. Additionally, Sekulow was appointed a Senior Fellow at Emory University School of Law in 2014, and has served as a faculty member for the Office of Legal Education at the United States Department of Justice. With an ongoing commitment to education, Sekulow is dedicated to training the next generation of religious liberty experts. The ACLJ provides legal training for law students from around the globe, reaching out through its offices at Regent University in Virginia and at Handong University in South Korea.
