Jeffrey Low

Jeffrey Low is a deal partner at the a16z Bio Fund. He is an MD by training who combines his medical expertise with experiences from biotech to software to help entrepreneurs using technology to transform healthcare and biology. At a16z, he has worked on investments in Accolade, CAMP4 Therapeutics, Ciitzen, Devoted Health, and InSitro. Prior to a16z, his investments include Omada Health and Lemonaid Health. His current interests include AI in healthcare, computational and engineering driven therapeutic platforms, and scaling healthcare technology companies.

Prior to joining a16z in 2016, Jeffrey worked with Google Capital (now CapitalG) on growth healthcare investments. Previously, he worked on biotech and digital health investments at Novartis Venture Fund and dRx Capital. Jeffrey began his career working directly with the founders at St. Francis Medical Technologies (acquired by Kyphon/Medtronic), and subsequently held scientific and strategic roles at two medical technology startups.

Jeffrey works closely with the boards of Apeel Sciences, Asimov, BioAge Labs, Cardiogram, Freenome, Omada Health, PatientPing, and Rigetti Computing. Jeffrey received an MD from Yale School of Medicine, an MBA Harvard Business School, and an AB in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Harvard.

Jeffrey is a third generation San Franciscan and an avid squash player.
