Jen Psaki held the role of the 34th White House Press Secretary from January 20, 2021, to May 13, 2022. Before this, she served in multiple roles within the Obama administration, including White House Deputy Press Secretary, White House Deputy Communications Director, Spokesperson for the United States Department of State, and White House Communications Director. Psaki's extensive experience within the political sphere also includes being part of Barack Obama's 2008 and 2012 presidential campaigns, as well as John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign.
Post her tenure as the White House Press Secretary, Psaki transitioned into media, with her first television appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon." From 2017 to 2020, she was a political contributor for CNN. As of March 2023, she hosts her talk show "Inside with Jen Psaki" on MSNBC. Psaki was also hired by MSNBC to contribute to its coverage of the 2022 midterms and 2024 presidential elections.
In addition to her political and media accomplishments, Psaki is also a published author. Her book "Say More: Lessons from Work, the White House, and the World" was published in May 2024 and quickly became a New York Times bestseller.
